Graphic Design

Most small businesses don’t need a full-time designer on staff. They need someone who can produce on-brand marketing materials, social graphics, sales decks, and one-off projects without disrupting the work that needs to ship this week. That’s the gap I fill.

I work with businesses that have established branding (or have me create it first) and need consistent, well-executed graphic design across whatever channels and formats their marketing calendar throws at them.

What’s Included

“Graphic design” covers a lot of ground. Common requests:

How It Works

  1. Brief — Project brief covering goals, audience, deliverables, brand constraints, and deadlines
  2. Concept — Initial design exploration (usually 2 directions for one-offs, template approaches for ongoing work)
  3. Refinement — One round of revisions on the chosen direction (additional rounds available on larger projects)
  4. Production — Final files delivered in all required formats (digital, print, source files)

Is This Right for Your Business?

Project-based graphic design works for businesses with marketing needs that don’t justify a full-time designer — most small businesses, agencies, and growing teams. It’s also useful for in-house teams that need overflow capacity during busy seasons or specialised work outside the team’s wheelhouse.

If you need 5+ pieces of graphic work every week, you probably need someone in-house. I’m not the right answer for that.

Why Work With Me on Graphic Design

Project-based graphic design has a quality range from “Fiverr templates” at one end to “boutique creative agency” at the other. I sit in the middle — senior-level execution at sensible pricing, with the brand consistency and turnaround time most agencies struggle to match because of internal overhead.

I’m also unusual in that I do the design AND the implementation when it matters (web pages, email templates, ad campaigns). Most graphic designers hand off files; I can take them across the finish line if you’d rather not coordinate with a separate developer.

Often paired with brand identity work and web design.

Pricing & Timeline

One-off projects start at $250 for small assets (a single social graphic, a business card) and run $500-$2,500 for larger projects (multi-page sales decks, brochures, ad campaigns). Ongoing design retainers available starting at $1,500/month for typically 15-20 hours of design work. Turnaround on most one-offs is 3-5 business days.
