Custom WordPress – Elev8 Football

Custom WordPress for an Elite Youth Soccer Programme

Elev8 Football is the year-round training arm of a broader elite youth soccer business. The site needed to communicate professionalism to parents writing significant cheques per season, surface programme details cleanly, and live on the same custom theme platform powering the rest of the group’s web properties, so updates ship to one codebase, not four.

Technologies Used

• WordPress with a custom classic theme (no page builders, no bloat)
• ACF Pro with Flexible Content for fully editable layouts
• Vite + Browser Sync development workflow
• SCSS architecture with theme design tokens
• Phosphor Icons for clean inline SVGs

Key Features

• 10 reusable Flexible Content section types (hero, programmes, stats, testimonials, CTA, sponsors, video, content + image, cards, team)
• Light / dark mode toggle with system-preference detection
• Transparent-to-solid sticky header on scroll
• Hero variants supporting single image, slideshow, or self-hosted video
• Built on a shared platform with ESS Cup, Bay Area Surf Cup, and Retain Players, one theme, four brands

A flagship site that looks like the elite programme it represents, built on a shared codebase that ships updates across four sister sites at once, on a monthly retainer that pays for itself within the first project change request.
